Folklore Ensemble ‘Sveti Sava’

"Sveti Sava" was founded in 1995 on the initiative vidovdan

Parliament. It includes more than 200 members, belonging to different sections ie.: the dancers, musicians, singers, etc.

Group takes part in the popular TV show in the country, as well as numerous domestic and foreign festivals, where it has won. Boasts victories and trophies for winning 1st place among International Folklore Festival in Macedonia, Nikoljdanskim Festival Dervencie (Bosnia and Herzegovina), as well as competitions in Istanbul, Greece and Hungary.

"Sveti Sava" was honored with the Third Order of St. Sava - one of the highest honors in the country.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Les TROUBADOURS du MONT ROYAL

France

The troupe of comedians.

At its inception, the group was cultural association founded on March 1, 1954 by a group of enthusiasts, including François Bouche, Edmund Bourdel, Henri Chappe, Albert Chevallier and Jean Bonnefoy ... They called it the "Comedians Troubadours-Mont-Royal." A few years later, the theater has been dominated by the desire to promote music, dances and songs of their native country.

Troubadours are heirs "Mainatges of Mourrejau", founded in the early 1930s. This group has been successful for both local and national level, including the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1937.

1961 marks a turning point in the history of the troubadours. The choreography is enriched by references to the ballet. This brings an incredible wealth of artistic creativity, combining the talent of the group members, traditional heritage and strict choreographic dimension. Group gains thanks to an unparalleled reputation in the region.

Group participated in festivals in many European countries: Italy, the former Yugoslavia, Finland, Romania, Hungary, Croatia, Lithuania, Spain...

 

 

Dance Group "PENFOLK"

Turkey

PENFOLK, founded in 2011, aims to make collections, researches and surveys on Turkish Folklore, to form performance groups to present folk dances, to help tourism by presentation activities, both home and abroad, to teach folklore to younger generations and to publish scientific works on Turkish Folklore.

“PENFOLK” is one of the Youngest folk dance group of İSTANBUL but dancers are Professional dancers that they are playing under the name of other folk dance group PEFHEM years and years. After they seperate from the group PEFHEM and become Professional group. We are totaly 30 professional dancer – choreographer. Group members are all folk dance teachers, and Penfolk group has children groups of these all teachers.

Its purpose is to train young people with locale instructors and contribute to the keeping our  cultural belives alive

 

„AVAS” Folk Dance Group

Hungary

The Avas folkdance Group was formed in 1951 in Miskolc. It is mostly about the hungarian language and the people who live in Hungary, about folkloric traditions. Thanks to hard work, the group have already won international dance festival and became famous. Avas won many competitions and it was granted with many awards like The Best Folkdance Group Award (3 times). It was also invited to a lot of festivals all over Europe - England, France, Germany, Switzerland, Turkey, Belgium, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Portugal. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Folk Group "Sa Jara"

Sardegna

The folk group operates within the Tuili country trying to preserve and rediscover what are the village tradition for the protection and development of folklore as an expression of culture and tourism. It is not presented as an association for financial gain and the values ​​on which it is based are the collective solidarity among its members. The main activities consist of the participation in important folkloric events of regional importance, national and international, to fairs and festivals where he also performed in the dances that make up his classical repertoire

The birth of the group was dated December 1974. As for the group name the choice fell on the designation SA JARA, in honor of the famous plateau overlooking the village.

The association aims to promote, encourage and revive all genuine and original manifestations of our country with studies, research and events. Around mid-September, the group leaves for Germany to take part in October Fest, important folk event an international flavor organized in Monaco of Bavaria during the beer festival. In 1995 the group receives award for promoting the culture of Sardinia which best group. The group took part in various national and international events; several times in Rome, France, the Netherlands, Argentina and many more.

 

„Seja” Folk Dance Group

Lithuania

“SĖJA” is a folk dance group of Aleksandras Stulginskis University in Lithuania. This group was created in 1946 by Sofija Baltrūnienė.

The total number of participants of dancers is about 25-30.

In a history “SĖJA” has given a lot of performances both nationally and internationally by visiting the majority of European countries, such as Portugal, Spain, Czech Republic, France, Macedonia, Serbia, Sardinia, Croatia, Italy and others.

One of the most important performances is the Lithuanian Song and Dance Celebration, which is proclaimed as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. “SĖJA” also takes part in the Baltic Students Song and Dance Festival “Gaudeamus”, which consolidates three Baltic countries – Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania.
